Introduction

The itel P55 is an affordable Android smartphone launched in India in January 2024. It is part of itel’s popular P-series that targets budget-conscious customers. Some key specs of the P55 include a large 6.6-inch display, 50MP dual rear cameras, and a massive 5,000mAh battery.

Design and Display

The P55 sports a plastic build which helps keep the weight down to just 190g. It has a 6.6-inch LCD screen with HD+ (720×1612) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen offers vibrant colors and smooth scrolling. Fingerprint sensor is positioned on the side for convenient unlocking.

Hardware and Performance

Under the hood is an Unisoc T606 chipset with 4/8GB RAM variants. This provides basic computing for day-to-day tasks without any lag. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB variants, both of which support microSD expansion.

Priced at 156,000 Naira, the itel P55 offers an attractive proposition for budget buyers looking for flagship-level battery life and cameras at an affordable price point. Build quality could have been better but it does fulfil the needs of basic users on a tight budget.
