I recently had the chance to use the original OnePlus One from 2014 as a secondary device. Even after a decade, here are my impressions of this iconic “flagship killer”:

Design

The sandstone black rear panel has aged superbly well. It feels premium in the hand and still looks stylish today. Solid build quality.

Display

The 5.5-inch full HD Optic AMOLED screen is remarkably crisp. Colors seem vibrant and blacks remain inky even now. Brightness is more than adequate.

Performance

Powered by the venerable Snapdragon 801 chip, the OnePlus One 2024 remains snappy daily. No lag or frame drops were encountered. Graphics-intensive games run smoothly too.

Camera

The 13MP rear shooter takes great photos in good lighting. Plenty of detail captured. The 8MP front cam is fair for selfies and video calls.

Software

OxygenOS is as slick as ever. The customizability is unparalleled. Android 10 feels very fluid—amazing software support over the decade.

Battery

Still lasts me a full day on a single charge with typical use. Dash Charge top-ups are impressively quick when needed.

For a phone that launched 10 years ago, the OnePlus One remains surprisingly resilient and capable even today. Fit and finish have stood the test of time remarkably well. This was truly a flagship killer ahead of its time. Kudos to OnePlus!
