Huawei Unveils the Pocket 2 Foldable Smartphone

Huawei has recently announced their new flagship foldable smartphone, the Pocket 2. This device builds upon the success of the original Pocket by improving in key areas like design, display, performance and cameras.

In terms of design, the Pocket 2 has a sleek and modern look. When folded, it has dimensions of 87.8 x 75.5 x 15.3 mm which makes it quite compact to carry around. However, when unfolded the display increases drastically to a large 6.94 inch size. It weighs in at either 199g or 202g depending on the model. Huawei has managed to make the device thinner than its predecessor at only 7.3mm thick.

One of the biggest highlights is the beautiful folding OLED display. The main screen is a huge 6.94 inch size with a resolution of 1136 x 2690 pixels. This provides sharp and vibrant visuals. It also has a high 120Hz refresh rate for buttery smooth scrolling and gaming. What’s more, the cover display is 1.15 inches which is handy for quick notifications and glances.

Under the hood, the Pocket 2 packs the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset along with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. This ensures blazing fast performance whether you’re gaming, multitasking or using intensive apps. It runs on Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS software for a seamless experience.

In the camera department, Huawei has really upped the game by including a quad rear camera setup. The main sensor is a capable 50MP along with an 8MP periscope telephoto lens, 12MP ultrawide and 2MP spectral sensor. This allows you to capture high quality photos along with 3x optical zoom. Even selfies are handled by a decent 10.7MP front camera.

Other highlights includes a massive 4520mAh battery with 66W fast charging, dual-SIM support, 5G connectivity, IPX8 water resistance and a side fingerprint scanner. It’s available in several storage variants starting at around 1,700,000.
