Huawei Launches New Flagship Pura 70

Huawei has recently launched their new flagship smartphone, the Pura 70. From the specifications revealed on GSM Arena, the Pura 70 looks to be a powerhouse device that can compete with the top Android devices currently on the market.

Display and Design

The Pura 70 sports an impressive 6.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1256 x 2760 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is said to reach up to 2500 nits of peak brightness as well, making it very visible even in direct sunlight. The phone has a modern glass and aluminum design which gives it a premium feel. It is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance as well.

Hardware and Performance

Under the hood, the Pura 70 is powered by Huawei’s own flagship Kirin 9000S1 chipset which promises top-of-the-line performance. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and storage configurations of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. All of this ensures ultra-smooth performance while also providing ample storage. The 4900mAh battery is also capable of 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, allowing for quick refills.

Camera Specifications

In the camera department, the Pura 70 impresses with a versatile triple rear camera setup. The main camera is a 50MP wide shooter with OIS. It is accompanied by a 12MP periscope telephoto lens capable of 5x optical zoom. Rounding off the trio is a 13MP ultrawide camera. Video can be recorded at up to 4K resolution as well. On the front, a 13MP selfie shooter takes care of selfies and video calls.

Software and Other Features

The Pura 70 runs Huawei’s latest EMUI 14 interface based on Android, with HarmonyOS available in China. It supports all major connectivity options including dual 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS and USB-C. Fingerprint and face unlock provides biometric security.

Pricing and Availability 

Pricing for the Huawei Pura 70 starts at 1,450,000 Naira for the 12GB/256GB variant. The phone has recently launched internationally with availability in key markets. With its powerful specifications and hardware, the Pura 70 seems poised to be a flagship device to watch out for in 2024 from Huawei.
