Infinix has recently launched a new budget-friendly smartphone called the Hot 30 Play NFC. Priced affordably, this device aims to offer the basics that most users need in a phone along with long battery life.
The Infinix Hot 30 Play NFC has a 6.82-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. This gives it fairly sharp picture quality for everyday use even though it isn’t a high-end AMOLED panel. The phone has slim bezels on the sides but a noticeable chin at the bottom. It weighs 205g which is lightweight and comfortable to hold. build quality feels decent for a budget phone thanks to the glass front and plastic frame/back.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio G37 chipset which provides enough power for casual use like messaging, social media and basic games. It comes with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM depending on the variant. Storage is 128GB which can be expanded via a microSD card. The processor is backed by a sizable 6000mAh battery which should provide impressive battery life on a single charge according to the manufacturer.
For photography, there is a dual rear camera setup including a 16MP primary sensor and a QVGA secondary lens. Selfies are handled by a 8MP front camera. Camera quality is average as expected at this price point but should perform well in good lighting conditions. Video recording maxes out at 1080p resolution.
Software and Other Features
The Infinix Hot 30 Play NFC runs on Android 13 with the company’s XOS 12.6 skin on top. It includes standard features like face unlock, rear fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack and USB-C charging port. An additional highlight is support for NFC which allows features like contactless payments.
The Infinix Hot 30 Play NFC is currently available for purchase in select markets. At its asking price, it seems like a capable entry-level smartphone targeted towards budget shoppers that prioritize long battery life above else.
