Introduction:

Launched in 2018, the Hot 6X aimed to deliver reliable performance for everyday tasks at an affordable price. But how does it hold up against newer budget-friendly devices?

Design:

With a large 6.2-inch 18:9 display in slim 8mm body, the 6X had a comfortable in-hand feel. Build quality felt decent for its class.

Hardware:

Powered by the proven Snapdragon 425 chipset paired with up to 3GB RAM, the 6X handled basic tasks smoothly during its time.

Display:

Image quality on the 720×1500 LCD was average. Visibility in direct sunlight was fair.

Cameras:

The dual 13MP+2MP rear cameras captured reasonably good shots. Selfies from the 8MP front sensor also came out well.

Battery:

The 4000mAh capacity battery provided over a day’s battery life with regular usage as expected in 2018.

While long outdated today, for its original budget-focused price the Hot 6X offered capable everyday performance without compromising on essentials expected in its class during 2018. Still a viable low-cost option if priced very cheaply.
