Nokia C2 Tava Price in Nigeria Today

Nokia introduced the budget-friendly C2 Tava back in 2020 as an entry-level Android Go device. Priced around €100, it aimed to provide basic smartphone functionality without breaking the bank. But with two years passed since its release, is the Nokia C2 Tava still a viable purchase today?

Design and Display
The C2 Tava has a simple plastic body design available in a single “Tempered Blue” color. It sports a 5.45-inch LCD with an HD+ 720×1440 resolution. The screen is reasonably sized for media consumption. Build quality feels average for the price, with a removable 3000mAh battery under the rear plastic panel.

Hardware and Performance
Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 chip paired with 2GB RAM. Though fairly basic specs now, it was respectable for a budget phone in 2020. The A22 provides enough power for light tasks but struggles with graphic-heavy apps and multitasking. Storage is limited to just 16/32GB with microSD expansion.

Camera and Battery
Camera quality is basic with a dual 8MP + 2MP rear setup and a 5MP front camera. Don’t expect good low-light shots. Battery life is average at best thanks to the 3000mAh capacity. Expect only a full day’s worth of regular use before requiring a charge.

Software Updates
The C2 Tava shipped with Android 10 and sadly received no further upgrades. It now runs an outdated OS riddled with security vulnerabilities. This is a major concern for daily usage.

Verdict
While the Nokia C2 Tava was a competent budget phone two years ago, its aged hardware and lack of software support diminish the experience today. There are much better value options in this price segment that offer better specs and up-to-date Android versions. Unless found at a deep discount, I cannot recommend the C2 Tava for a new purchase in 2022.
