OnePlus announced in late 2018 a special partnership with British luxury car manufacturer McLaren to release a limited edition device called the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. This device highlights the speed and performance that both OnePlus and McLaren are known for.

Design and Display

The OnePlus 6T McLaren features a beautiful 6.41-inch AMOLED display with no notch, earning it an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 85.6%. The screen resolution is full HD+ at 2340×1080. Protecting this display is tough Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

The back of the device has a unique carbon fiber pattern inspired by McLaren’s supercars. It looks stunning and adds rigidity to the already solid aluminum frame. The device weighs in at 185g making it comfortable to hold.

Powerful Hardware

Under the hood is a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with an enormous 10GB of RAM, ensuring everything you throw at this phone is handled with lightning speed. You get a generous 256GB of internal storage without the need for a microSD card.

The McLaren sports a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor and a 20MP secondary sensor for portrait shots. The video is buttery smooth at 4K 60fps. Around the front is a 16MP camera for selfies.

Turbocharged Performance

Where the McLaren really stands out is in its charging capabilities. It comes with OnePlus’ iconic Warp Charge 30 standard which can charge from 1-50% in just 20 minutes. The 3700mAh battery keeps the phone going all day with casual usage.

It also has dual SIM card slots, NFC for payments, stereo speakers with Dirac HD sound and the alert slider that OnePlus fans know and love. Plus it runs on the clean and fast OxygenOS based on Android 9.0.

A Special Limited Edition

Limited to just 150,000 units globally, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition was a special celebration of the partnership between two iconic brands known for leading innovation and delivering top-notch performance to their customers.
