OPPO Reno6 Lite Review: Budget Friendly with Solid Specs

OPPO released their newest budget friendly option, the Reno6 Lite, in early 2022. With a starting price around 380 euros, does this phone provide a good value? Let’s take a closer look at the specs and features.

Design and Display

The Reno6 Lite has a plastic back and slim profile measuring 160.3 x 73.8 x 8 mm. While not as premium as glass and metal, the plastic keeps the weight down to a reasonable 175g. It’s available in Black and Rainbow Silver colors. Up front is a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 430 nits of brightness and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The teardrop notch keeps the screen nearly bezel-less. 

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 662 chipset with 6GB of RAM for fluid daily use. Storage is a generous 128GB with microSD support for expansion. Software is ColorOS 11 based on Android 11. Keeping things running is a sizable 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging that can power up to 54% in just 30 minutes.

Cameras

The rear camera array includes a main 48MP wide lens, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. Selfies are handled by a 16MP front camera. Both can capture 1080p video. While not the best, the setup should suffice for casual photography needs.

Connectivity and Price

All standard connectivity options are supported including dual-SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS/GLONASS. Unfortunately no NFC is included. At around 700,000 Naira, the OPPO Reno6 Lite provides respectable mid-range specs at an affordable price point perfect for those on a budget. The large battery and fast charging should keep you powered up all day.
