I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G as my primary driver for over a week now. Here are my impressions of this new affordable 5G smartphone:
Design and Build Quality
The Samsung Galaxy M34 5G design is elegant with thin bezels surrounding the 6.5-inch AMOLED display. It has a glass front and plastic back/frame design weighing 208g. Overall fit and finish feel solid for the price.
Display – Bright and Colorful
The FHD+ AMOLED panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and gets bright enough at 1000 nits peak brightness outdoors. The colors look vibrant and the blacks are deep. Scrolling is buttery smooth.
Performance – Powerful and Smooth
Powered by the Exynos 1280 chipset, performance has been fluid for daily tasks with up to 8GB RAM. Gaming and multitasking were lag-free. The side fingerprint sensor is responsive.
Cameras – Versatile Shooter
The main 50MP camera clicks detailed shots with accurate colors in daylight. 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro add versatility. Selfies come out nice. Videos can be recorded at up to 4K30fps or 1080p60.
Software – Simple yet Powerful
OneUI 6 is intuitive and easy to navigate. 5G connectivity worked well for me. Additional features like dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.3, FM radio, etc are available.
Battery Life – Lasts Over a Day
One of the best aspects is the 6000mAh battery which easily lasts over a day even with moderate-heavy usage. 25W fast charging tops it up quickly.
Value and Verdict
At under Rs. 15,000, the Samsung Galaxy M34 5G offers great value and performance for most users. Its build quality, display, versatile cameras, and impressive battery life make it a strong recommendation as an affordable 5G-ready mid-range smartphone.
