Tecno Spark Go 2023: An Affordable Entry-Level Smartphone

Tecno Mobile has recently launched the Spark Go 2023, the latest entry in their popular Spark Go series of entry-level Android phones. Priced affordably, the Spark Go 2023 aims to provide basic smartphone functionality for users on a tight budget.

Design and Display
Featuring a plastic build, the Spark Go 2023 has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with 720×1600 resolution. Though not the sharpest, the display should be decent for consuming media and using apps. Slim bezels allow for an 84.4% screen-to-body ratio. It comes in black, purple, blue and orange color options.

Hardware, Storage and Camera
Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core chipset clocked at 2GHz along with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM depending on the model. Storage options include 32GB or 64GB which is expandable via microSD. The dual 13MP rear cameras can record 1080p video while selfies are handled by a 5MP front camera.

Software and Battery Life
The Go 2023 runs Android 12 under Tecno’s HIOS interface. No word yet on potential software updates. A large 5000mAh battery provides good battery life for daily use between charges.

Pricing starts around 200,000 Naira for the base 3GB/64GB model. Tecno aims this budget-friendly Spark Go device at first-time smartphone owners or those seeking an affordable secondary device. It is available for purchase in select global markets.
