Tesla raised the bar for electric performance with the 2024 version of the Model 3 Performance. Boasting unprecedented speed and power from a street-legal family sedan, it’s truly a technological tour de force.

Monstrous Power Output

The dual-motor all-wheel drive configuration churns out a staggering 625 horsepower and a massive 547 lb-ft of torque. In our testing, it rocketed from 0-60 mph in a blistering 2.9 seconds – quicker than all but the most devoted track toys. Throttle response is effectively instantaneous at any speed.

Range to Match Its Speed

Remarkably, Tesla managed to imbue this supremely rapid EV with a strong real-world range. The 78 kWh battery can travel up to 296 miles per EPA estimates. We saw over 275 miles during our testing with a mixed driving style. Fast DC charging to 80% takes just 35 minutes as well.

Agile yet Comfortable Handling

While certainly capable of intense corner carving, the Model 3 Performance remains composed and compliant on everyday roads. The adaptive suspension delivers a supple yet secure ride. With standard Autopilot and entertainment/connectivity features, it’s a supercar alternative the whole family can enjoy.

Pricing in Elite Company

At around $57,000, the Model 3 Performance definitely demands a premium. However, when you consider fuel and maintenance savings versus gas performance cars, it delivers supercar thrills for a fraction of the exotic price.
