Xiaomi Unveils the Powerful Mix Fold 3
Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi recently launched their latest foldable smartphone, the Mix Fold 3. With impressive specs and innovations, this device looks to be a serious competitor in the foldable space.
The Mix Fold 3 has a large 8-inch inward folding display made from flexible OLED panels. This gives you a tablet-like experience when unfolded. It has a resolution of 1916 x 2160 and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen gets very bright too, with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. This makes content really pop whether indoors or outdoors.
When folded, there is a smaller 6.56-inch cover screen on the front. This one has a 21:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2520 resolution. Both displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Powering this device is the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. This gives the Mix Fold 3 incredible processing speeds for gaming, multitasking and more. The large 4800mAh battery supports 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging as well. Xiaomi claims it can be charged to 100% in just 40 minutes using the included charger.
On the camera front, there is a triple lens 50MP main, 13MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto camera setup. The outer screen also has a 20MP selfie cam. Video recording goes up to 8K at 24fps.
Other key features include dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, stereo speakers, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster and IPX8 water resistance. It comes in classic black and gold color options.
