Design and Display

It has a slim 8mm body weighing 188g with a Gorilla Glass protected 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. The nearly bezel-less screen offers an engaging viewing experience.

Hardware, Performance and Software

Powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, performance was smooth in my experience. It is paired with up to 8GB RAM. The phone runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

Cameras

The dual rear camera setup is headlined by a decent 48MP main camera. Selfies are handled by an 8MP front camera. Photography was good in favorable lighting conditions.

Battery Life  

A 5,000mAh battery provided enough juice to easily last over a day of regular usage. It also supports 33W fast charging.

Pricing and Availability

Priced at around 350,000 Naira, the Redmi Note 12 provides a notable upgrade over predecessors. It will compete with others in the affordable mid-range segment in China.

In summary, the Redmi Note 12 strikes a nice balance between design, performance and affordability for the Chinese market. It retains the winning Redmi Note formula.
